DIFFERENT TYPES OF SHOES OF DANCE
The basic difference is between(among) the dances standard, such as the waltz, the fox, the rumba bolero and the such Latin dances as the sauce, the chachachá or the meringue. For the dancers standard, the shoe can be closed in the top and the heel is to be high enough since these dances are characterized by his(her, your) elegance and smoothness in the movements, they do not demand too much freedom in the feet. In case of the Latin dances, the movement that is realized is in the habit of being more rapid, there are many drafts and the shoes of dance must be much thinner and flexible than in the standard.

In the sauce, the flexibility and the perfect adjustment of the shoe of dance to the foot it(he,she) is even more important than in any other dance. For the numbers drafts that are realized in the sauce and the rapidity of the steps, in sauce the shoe of girl's dance is better(best) opened ahead, type sandal. The sandals of dance can have more or less strips to hold the foot and the part of the heel must go closed. Depending on the form of our feet, we will still have a few sandals or others, it is a question of being proved(tried) and to be proved(tried) up to meeting better the one that we still have.
On the other hand, the shoe also can be different as be for the test(essay) or for the dancing floor. For the tests(essays) there exist so called sneakers "sneakers" that are very comfortable since they do not have very much heel and leave the foot to rest while we practise. The sole of the "sneakers" is of rubber(gum) and is divided in two: the front part of the foot where we rest and the part of the heel where it(he,she) takes approximately three centimeters of heel. In the way of the slipper there is no sole, this gives him(her) a lot of freedom of movement to the foot, especially on having turned since it(he,she) doubles perfectly.

The problem is in being able to turn on this type of divided(departed) sole, if we do not turn on the base of the thumb and turn with the whole base of the foot it will turn out difficult to guard the balance. The rest of the "sneaker" is like any sports of skin(leather). There are several materials, the more adjustable some to the foot, as the neopreno, others more transpirables .... etc. The sneakers are used both by girls and by boys.
There exist also for the test(essay) a few totally flat slippers tied with cord that scarcely have sole. They are like socks with a thin very flexible sole of carton and skin(leather), but they tire enough the feet for having such a thin sole. They allow freedom of movement since they weigh very little but only they are advisable to use them a little time.

The front part of the shoe of dance, (instep and sole), is flexible, soft(smooth) and thin. The part of the heel and heel, in case of the girls, is reinforced with regard to the shoes of street; it(she) is harder enough and rigid in order that on having turned and on having fallen down it(he,she) does not twist. The shoes of heel are in the habit of being more problematic than the flattest, we must learn to control better the weight of the body. The heel of the girl changes according to tastes, for the dances like the tango be high occurs and thin to give elegance; in Latin dances there depends the comfort with which every girl dances.

The shoe of heel invites more to the proximity with the pair(couple) in the dance and facilitates the movement towards ahead. The boys also use heel, sometimes, though ésto is slightly frequent in Spain, since we are not accustomed for our culture. The heel of the shoes of dance of the boys is the " Cuban heel " and is used in the Latin dances, measures four centimeters. While, in the dances standard, the boy uses a heel of two centimeters. The shoe of dance is in the habit of being of skin(leather) completely, incluída the sole.

The finished exterior can be dull, brilliant, of gloss, with brilliantine, combining different materials as the satin, tulle or before ... etc, specially in the shoes of heel of the girls. The sole also changes, there are soles of turned (smooth) skin(leather) and of serraje (before).

The sole of turned skin(leather) is harder enough and firm than her(it) of serraje, can be used in rougher(harsher) soils as the polished cement and in soils of parquet.. The sole of serraje is soft(smooth) and more flexible, adapts perfectly to the soil of parquet and is ideal to dance in this type of soil. So, if you are lucky to be able to dance in parquet, you do not hesitate to buy your shoes of dance with sole of serraje, thus you will turn to the maximum, overcoat if you have practice small in the dance. On the other hand, if you dance on cement tracks, you must use soles of skin(leather) turned for being harder and turning better on coarse soils.
